The AGR Conference

Sue Tye, Managing Director of Strategis will be speaking at this years AGR conference. Due to be held at the Celtic Manor Hotel, Newport Wales on the 9th & 10th July, this is a professional event attended by many companies and individuals who are responsible for the recruitment and development of graduates.

Joining Sue in presenting will be Jane Addy, Foundation Development Manager at LogicaCMG and Mark Crosby, Community Learning and Volunteers Manager for the National Trust. Between them they will be sharing best practice on how they have used experiential events to develop and inspire young professionals.

The theme of the conference is "The Graduate Experience - How do we look from their perspective?" With this in mind the three speakers describe the benefits of this programme from three different perspectives: The Learning provider being The National Trust who is meeting one of their key objectives of being a learning organisation. The Employer who creates competitive advantages through releasing their graduate's potential and increasing customer focus and the Graduate themselves who are faced with a real challenge and given responsibility sometimes for the first time in their career.

The aim of the AGR conference is to turn development on its head and see through the eyes of the graduate, with this in mind the finale of the showcase will be a question and answer session facilitated by LogicaCMG graduates.

We are extremely excited to be able to pass on our knowledge and enthusiasm of the programmes to such a diverse audience and shall post a full report on our return.
